1. General

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services operated under the name Riffle Shuffle MTG(“we”, “us”, or “Riffle Shuffle MTG”), available at riffleshufflemtg.comand any related pages or features (collectively, the “Services”). Riffle Shuffle MTG is a peer-to-peer marketplace for Magic: The Gathering trading cards, operated as a hobby project by an individual based in Hong Kong.

These Terms apply to all users of the Services, including buyers, sellers, and visitors. By accessing or using the Services in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will try to let you know of any significant changes via a notice on the site. Your continued use of the Services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Use of the Services

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Riffle Shuffle MTG grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access and use the Services for their intended purposes.

You must not:

• Use the Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation of Hong Kong or any other jurisdiction.
• Upload or transmit any content that infringes another person's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights.
• Post false, misleading, inaccurate, or deceptive content, including misrepresenting the condition, edition, or authenticity of a card.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with any part of the Services.
• Use any automated tool, scraper, or bot to access or extract data from the Services without our express consent.
• Use the Services to send unsolicited messages, spam, or promotional material to other users.
• Create duplicate or fake accounts, generate fictitious orders, or otherwise manipulate the Services.
• Collect other users' personal information without their consent.
• Facilitate or engage in any transaction involving items prohibited under Hong Kong law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you are found to be in breach of these Terms.

3. Accounts

You must create an account (“Account”) to access certain features of the Services, including buying, selling, and making offers. When you create an Account, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age, or have your parent or guardian's consent to these Terms.
• All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
• You are capable of entering into a legally binding agreement under applicable law.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your Account. Please notify us immediately if you believe your Account has been compromised.

You may not transfer or share your Account with another person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any Account at any time for breach of these Terms or other conduct we consider harmful to the community.

You may register using a supported third-party sign-on service (such as Google). Your use of such services is also subject to the relevant third party's terms and conditions.

4. Listings

Any registered user may create listings to offer Magic: The Gathering cards for sale or offer-based negotiation. By creating a listing, you agree that:

• All information — including card name, edition, condition, language, foil status, price, and quantity — must be accurate and not misleading.
• Card condition must be graded honestly using the standard conditions on the platform: Near Mint (NM), Lightly Played (LP), Moderately Played (MP), Heavily Played (HP), or Damaged (DMG).
• You must be the lawful owner of any card you list. Listing stolen or counterfeit cards is strictly prohibited.
• Cards must not be counterfeit, proxies represented as genuine, or otherwise infringing on Wizards of the Coast's intellectual property.
• Your listing must comply with all applicable Hong Kong laws and regulations.

We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms, without notice.

5. Buying and Selling

5.1 Sellers

• Fulfil confirmed orders promptly and in good faith.
• Accurately represent the condition and details of every card you list.
• Not alter the price or description of a listing after an order has been confirmed.
• Charge only reasonable and transparent shipping fees, where applicable.
• Communicate honestly and promptly with buyers regarding order status and any issues.

5.2 Buyers

• Make prompt payment once an order or offer is confirmed.
• Use any personal information obtained from sellers solely to complete the relevant transaction.
• Not engage in bad-faith offers or exploit the offers system to manipulate sellers.

5.3 Offers

The offer system lets buyers propose a price to a seller for a listed card. Offers are not binding until explicitly accepted by the seller. Once accepted, both parties are expected to complete the transaction in good faith. Riffle Shuffle MTG is not a party to any such agreement and is not responsible for disputes arising from accepted offers.

5.4 Payment

Riffle Shuffle MTG does not process payments between buyers and sellers. Payment arrangements are agreed between buyers and sellers independently. We have no liability for payment disputes, non-payment, or fraud arising from transactions between users.

6. Platform Role

Riffle Shuffle MTG is a community venue — a hobby project that provides a platform for local MTG players to list, discover, and transact cards. We are not a party to any transaction between users. We do not pre-screen listings or users, and we are not directly involved in any transaction unless expressly stated.

Accordingly, Riffle Shuffle MTG is not responsible or liable for:

• The quality, condition, safety, legality, or authenticity of any card listed on the platform.
• The accuracy of any listing description or a seller's ability to fulfil an order.
• A buyer's ability to make payment.
• The true identity or conduct of any user.
• Any dispute, loss, or damage arising from a transaction between users.

We encourage everyone to exercise reasonable care when transacting. While we strive to keep the community trustworthy, your interactions with other users are ultimately at your own risk.

7. Content

The Services allow users to upload or share content including card descriptions, images, and notes (“Content”). You retain ownership of your Content, but by submitting it you grant Riffle Shuffle MTG a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and use that Content for the purposes of operating the Services.

You warrant that your Content:

• Does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• Is not false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful.

We have the right, but not the obligation, to remove or restrict access to any Content that violates these Terms. We are not responsible for maintaining backups of your Content.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Riffle Shuffle MTG platform, including its design, code, branding, and original content, are owned by or licensed to Riffle Shuffle MTG. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you.

Magic: The Gathering card names, imagery, and related intellectual property are owned by Wizards of the Coast LLC. Riffle Shuffle MTG is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. Card data and imagery displayed on the platform is sourced from Scryfall under their terms of use.

You must not use any Riffle Shuffle MTG branding, logos, or content without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Riffle Shuffle MTG is a hobby project operated by an individual — we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Riffle Shuffle MTG will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss arising from any transaction between users.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Hong Kong law.

10. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Account and access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct harmful to other users or to the community.

You may close your Account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination, including those relating to completed or pending transactions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
